Will Gold serves as the Information Services Leader at Meadowlark, where he provides steadfast leadership to the information technology team. In this critical role, Will ensures the stability and security of the Meadowlark computer networks, developing tools, processes, and systems to optimize the organization's use of computer and network assets in the most efficient and reliable manner, aligning with established goals and objectives. Additionally, he takes on the role of HIPAA Security Officer, overseeing the organization's compliance with healthcare data security standards.
Will joined the Meadowlark team in January 2014. His educational foundation includes graduating from Manhattan Area Technical College (MATC) in 2009 with an A.A.S. in information network technology. Will's journey in education also includes time at Kansas State University from 1992 to 1994 and graduating from Junction City Senior High School in 1989.
Prior to his role at Meadowlark, Will served as the Systems Administrator at Mercy Regional Hospital for five years, contributing to the healthcare sector's IT infrastructure. Additionally, Will held the position of Network Administrator at Mead Lumber Company for nine years, where he played a pivotal role in managing network systems. His passion for sharing knowledge led him to a two-year tenure as an instructor at MATC, teaching windows server and troubleshooting classes.
Will, alongside his wife, Erica, has made Manhattan, Kansas, their home. Their family includes two children, Mark and Sydney. In his own words, the thing Will enjoys most about Meadowlark Hills is the opportunity to serve and make a difference in an organization that sets high standards and strives to achieve its goals. His commitment to excellence and dedication to advancing information technology contribute to the overall success of Meadowlark.
