Sarah Duggan, Community Relations Director

Sarah Duggan serves as the Community Relations Director at Meadowlark. With a wealth of experience in various roles within the organization, Sarah plays a pivotal role in managing key departments, providing administrative support, and contributing to the strategic direction of Meadowlark.

As the Community Relations Director, Sarah oversees the Marketing and Public Relations efforts, as well as Special Programs. Her responsibilities extend beyond these roles, as she also offers vital administrative and communication support to both the Meadowlark Board of Trustees and Meadowlark Foundation Board of Directors. In this capacity, Sarah actively contributes to guiding the mission and objectives of the organization, ensuring a cohesive and purposeful approach.

Sarah's journey with Meadowlark began in 2011 when she assumed the role of Hospitality Leader. Over the years, she has seamlessly transitioned through various positions within the organization, including roles as Executive Assistant, Development Coordinator, and Marketing Director. In May 2013, she accepted the position of Community Relations Director, showcasing her dedication and adaptability.

Originally from Ottawa, Kansas, Sarah made Manhattan her home in 2006. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in public relations, with an outside concentration in English, from Kansas State University in December 2009. Before joining Meadowlark, Sarah served as an assistant property manager at McCullough Development, Inc.

Committed to community engagement and leadership development, Sarah is a graduate of the Leadership Manhattan Class of 2019 and currently serves as the Chair for the Leadership Manhattan Board. Additionally, she actively participates in the planning committee for Manhattan's Walk to End Alzheimer's. In 2024, Sarah was honored as an award recipient for the Chamber's 15 Under 40 Recognition Program.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Sarah, along with her family, is an active member of the First United Methodist Church. She resides in Manhattan with her husband, Edward, and their three daughters: Murphy, Eilish, and Edie. Sarah's passion for cultivating meaningful relationships is reflected in her daily interactions with residents and staff, emphasizing the importance of connection, laughter, and mutual respect.

For Sarah, the magic of Meadowlark Hills is most pronounced during Christmas time, where outstanding decorations, high spirits, and delightful treats create a joyous atmosphere. Her sentiment reflects the warmth and familial spirit that permeates the Meadowlark community under her dedicated leadership.
