Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community in Manhattan, KS is seeking a person who is passionate about ensuring elders are devotedly cared for while showing respect to individuality and preference. The right candidate will love to tell stories, have a sense of humor, and genuinely enjoy spending time with people. The Development Director is responsible for building lasting relationships, developing programs and strategies that will invite residents, families and friends of Meadowlark Hills to make significant gifts to identified fund campaigns and/or organizational priorities. The Development Director will spend time establishing and maintaining contact with prospective donors through private visits, campus events, civic and/or community events. Flexibility in hours is required. This position requires the highest ethical standards and compassionate nature. A bachelor’s degree, strong ties to the Manhattan area and a minimum three years of professional fundraising experience is preferred.
