You’re invited to attend All About Trees & More at 3 p.m.  Friday, July 12, in the Event Center, Meadowlark’s very own Gabrielle Saunders (Better known as Gabi from Prairie Star Restaurant!) will be discussing the importance of trees and the roles they play in different locations and conditions. Rather than aesthetic additions, trees are important infrastructural elements that provide environmental, social, health, and economic benefits. However, despite the major tree planting efforts carried out by American municipalities, tree mortality is a major issue. The benefits of trees have been widely explored, but insufficient attention is being paid to the implementation strategies needed to keep the trees alive and thriving – past the establishment period – to actualize those benefits. This is a presentation and discussion; you don’t want to miss as Gabby dives deep into several factors affecting trees. All are welcome.
