(from Oliver) and help us decide What Shall We Do With a Drunken Sailor? We’ll have a more serious side, singing O Sacrum Convivium (Tallis), with its Latin text on the Blessed Sacrament and O Esca Viatorum (Bach), which roughly translates as “food for the wayfaring stranger.” We’ll toast to The Night They Invented Champagne (a Lerner and Lowe favorite from Gigi) while In Taberna (from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff) and enjoy the idea of bringing in the Good Ale (Rutter). We hope there won’t be any Ill Wind (arr. P. Gritton), but If Music Be the Food of Love, you’ll have plenty to digest! Join us for the concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, in the Community Room.
