I’ve been asked by many of you “when will the office moves start happening?” Well the time is now! For those who haven’t noticed my recent exodus from the office in the south hallway, I have moved to the CEO office in the west hall of the Community Center. This is the beginning of several office moves and the intention is to make this a long-term destination for all involved.

Don’t miss your chance to see the poppy display in the main lobby! Poppies will be on display until after Memorial Day. To honor a veteran, you may purchase a potted poppy for $10 at the Hospitality Desk. The name of your honored loved one will be displayed with the poppy. The amount can be paid by cash, check or added to your monthly statement. The proceeds will benefit the Meadowlark Hills Veterans Group. Your poppy may be picked up after Memorial Day, May 27, until Wednesday, May 29.

Q: What are the responsibilities of the new role created in the households?

A: The new role in the households is being called “Enrichment Specialist.”

The role is designed to increase and exceed our standards for care, especially focused in the areas of cleaning and life enhancement. Our goal is to hire trained caregivers that are Certified Nursing Assistants so while working in this new role they are also an equal participant in the team. With the addition of the roles the Household teams have written new standards for both cleaning and housekeeping.
