Q: Do we have federal and state guidelines for when to lower the flag to half-staff? If so what are the guidelines and who ensures we are following them here at Meadowlark Hills?

Q: I find the hallways to be hot, even on warm days. This concerns me, not only due to my comfort, but also from an economic stand point. The service stairways are often blasting hot. Why is this and how can it be fixed?

I'm writing a book about people who fall in love when they are 60 years old or more. The working title of the book is "The Heart Does Not Wrinkle;" the publisher is Ballantine Books. I have been interviewing couples in different parts of the country to learn about their experiences. Some are in their 60s and 70s while some in their 80s. The oldest ones are 89 and 94; they have been together for two years.

Spring cleaning has been a tradition in homes around America for decades. It’s a time to decrease clutter and start with a blank canvas, just in time for spring! Meadowlark Hills intends to start the spring clean-up outdoors in the courtyards with mulching, weeding, planting and general trash clean-up.

Q. I have heard about a recognition event Meadowlark Hills is throwing for employees. How are employees recognized at this event?

The event is right around the corner! This year’s Annual Employee Recognition Event is coming up the end of February.

Every year we host an event to show appreciation to all of our employees for their years of service to Meadowlark Hills.

All employees are invited to attend and partake in the evening’s festivities to thank them for all of the hard work they have done in the past year.

Good news for the travelers aboard the trip to Branson, MO! Even though we have not met the minimum of 25 travelers, we will still receive the same quoted price for the trip because all the shows gave the discounted group rates!  There are currently 21 registered travelers for the trip departing Thursday, April 10 and returning Saturday, April 12.
