Annie Peace, Health Services Director

Annie Peace is a seasoned professional serving as the Health Services Director at Meadowlark, a role in which she oversees the critical departments of Household Operations, Nursing Services, Social Services, Therapy Services, and Environmental Services. With a career spanning more than two decades within the Meadowlark community, Annie brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her multifaceted role.

Annie joined the Meadowlark team in 1998 and has held various instrumental positions, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the organization. Her journey includes roles as Human Resources Leader, Household Coordinator, and Support Services Director. Annie's comprehensive understanding of Meadowlark's operations was further enhanced through her completion of the Administrator in Training program.

Educationally, Annie holds a bachelor's degree in family life and community services from Kansas State University, coupled with a Long Term Care Administration license. Under her leadership, Annie led her team to achieve PEAK Mentor Home status within Kansas' PEAK Program, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in long-term care.

Beyond her contributions to Meadowlark, Annie actively engages in community and state-wide leadership initiatives. She has served on the Diversity Board for USD 383 and the Manhattan High Business Advisory Board. Additionally, she is a Board member for the Manhattan Track Club and has previously been involved in USD 383 Site Councils. Annie's commitment to cultural change is evident through her role on the Nominating Committee for the Kansas Culture Change Coalition.

Annie is a distinguished alumna of the Leadership Manhattan Program, graduating in 2011, and currently serves on the board for the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce.

Originally hailing from Osawatomie, Kansas, Annie now calls Manhattan home, where she resides with her husband Aaron Bowyer. Their family is completed by two adult children, Lydia and Max. Annie's personal philosophy is deeply intertwined with her professional journey, as she emphasizes embracing individuals for who they are, drawing inspiration from the meaningful connections she has forged at Meadowlark.

Reflecting on her experiences, Annie fondly recalls a cherished memory with a resident at Tinklin Pointe, illustrating the profound impact of genuine connections in the realm of healthcare. She shares, "I have so many great memories at Meadowlark Hills, and they all involve wonderful people and great life lessons."

Annie's favorite spot in Manhattan is Deep Creek Road, a place that holds sentimental value for her. She finds solace in the drive through the rolling hills, culminating at Pillsbury Crossing, where the expansive views serve as a constant source of inspiration and tranquility. Annie Peace is not just a Health Services Director; she is a dedicated professional, community leader, and advocate for compassionate care, making a lasting impact on the lives she touches.
