Alexander Horak, Home Health Clinical Leader

Alexander Horak, RN, assumes the crucial role of Home Health Clinical Leader for Meadowlark Home Health, overseeing and ensuring the delivery of quality and safe home health care services. In his capacity, Alex meticulously coordinates services to align with Meadowlark's stringent standards of care. He is involved in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating home health services, programs, and activities.

Alex's journey with Meadowlark began in February 2016 when he joined as the Home Health RN Case Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector. Prior to his tenure at Meadowlark, Alex served as a paramedic for Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for five years. His professional background also includes positions with Pottawatomie County EMS and Saint Francis Hospital in Topeka.

A dedicated healthcare professional, Alex graduated with an associate degree in nursing and obtained his RN license from Hutchinson Community College in 2015. His educational journey also includes graduating from the College of Emergency Services in 2010 with an associate of applied science in emergency medical technology and a paramedic license.

Originally from Maple Hill, Kansas, Alex has made Wamego his home, where he resides with his wife, Margaret, and their five children.

Beyond his professional commitments, Alex has a fondness for the natural beauty that Manhattan has to offer. His favorite spot in the city is the trails and campgrounds at Tuttle Creek State Park, where he has created countless memories of camping and hiking. Alex seizes every opportunity to enjoy the lake with family and friends, embracing the serenity of the outdoors.

In Alex's perspective, spring and summer at Meadowlark hold a special allure. He appreciates the meticulous groundskeeping that transforms the community into a beautiful and welcoming space.
